Camp FIIT Returns!

Camp FFIT/Camp FPEF is back for a ninth year! Over the past 8 years we have seen 190 young women, between the ages of 15 and 19, complete the program, many finding or verifying a desire to pursue a career in the fire services, but also many finding different avenues they had not considered; paramedics, policing, military, or nursing. The camp also helps young women recognize their leadership capabilities. This is a non-competitive, supportive environment that encourages young women to step forward into their strengths without judgement. It has been a pleasure to follow the young women after attending camp and see them progress into any career they choose; stay at home mother, environmental activist, geologist, as well as the aforementioned emergency services and many others. Many are still, years later, posting photos and stories about their time at Camp FFIT being a fulfilling and enriching experience in their lives.

Below is the Public Service Announcement (link provided for ottawa.ca) as well as the link for the applications, English and French.
If you have any questions about the program please do not hesitate to ask. Potential applicants and/or their parents are also encouraged to contact.

Applicants must complete an application, short essay, and the Par-Q form found on the web pages below.
