The Office of Protocol at the City of Ottawa is currently recruiting volunteers for the Mayor's Annual Canada Day Celebration for Seniors that will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 in the Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park.  The festivities will take place under the supervision of City of Ottawa staff.   Volunteers are asked to arrive on site no later than 6:45 a.m. and to please be prepared to work until approximately 12:00 noon to assist with clean up.

If any students are interested in volunteering to obtain community service hours, they can register online at:

In compliance with Ontario law, all volunteers must have completed their AODA training to volunteer for an event.  If you have not already completed this training, you can do so online; the training only takes a few minutes and the information is attached here. (french version)

Also, please find attached here the volunteer waiver form which is also required for all volunteers. All volunteers under the age of 18 require the signature of their parent / guardian.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you.
