Country Fun Nature Camp is an ecumenical Christian eco-camp for children aged 5-13 that nurtures love for God, self, others, and the environment. The camp takes place at Tucker House, with a free camp bus transporting students from across Ottawa to Rockland.

Our camp staff is largely comprised of volunteers, including Leaders-in-Training, who are generally 14-17 years old, and Leaders, who are usually 18 and over. LITs assist Leaders with animating activities for groups of campers; they also assist with snack time, craft time, and special activities.

Leaders and Leaders-in-Training receive excellent training prior to camp, including team-building, nature appreciation and environmental education, Bible and faith studies, ages and stages of child development, and first aid. Camp itself is a wonderful opportunity to gain volunteer experience and learn many new skills.

Both training and camp can count towards a high school student's volunteer hours; volunteers may also choose to receive an honorarium.

This year, camp runs July 10-14 and 17-21, with mandatory staff training July 3-8 and a staff thank-you party on August 11-13

Staff applications are at bit.ly/CFNCLeaderLIT and usually close in the first few weeks of June.
