Community Service Hours Opportunities



CHEO TELETHON

This year, the OCSB student portion of the CHEO Telethon will take place on Sunday, June 5 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (with students showing up at 8:30am) 

​CHEO ​is​ looking for some volunteers to answer phones during ​the​ Telethon. It’s a really great ​community service and experiential learning​ opportunity​.​ We have 32 seats reserved for our Board. The seats will be filled on a first come, first served basis, and a wait list ​will be started ​after all of our seats are filled. Please see Student Services for more information.

Mothercraft Ottawa Birth and Parent Companion Program

Organizers of the 9th Annual Touch a Truck Event are looking for volunteers. Proceeds for this event go to support Mothercraft Ottawa Birth and Parent Companion Program. It takes place on Sunday, June 12 at Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre from 10:00am to 3:00 pm. If you are interested please contact:

Ottawa Kennel Club

The Ottawa Kennel Club are holding their annual dog show May 26 - May 29 at the Richmond Fair Ground. They are looking for student volunteers to help out. If you are interested in helping out please contact:

Teen Advisory Group
The Ottawa Public Library Teen Advisory Group is looking for student volunteers. Meetings and programs are held on select Mondays from 3:30-4:30 pm. If you are interested apply on-line at: http://ottawa.ca/en/volunteering-city-ottawa or come to Student Services for more information.


Royal City Soccer Club
