for students entering grades 9-12

Thursday, February 7th, 2019
7:00-8:15pm

Agenda:

7:00-8:15pm - Carousels (Front Foyer)

  • Carousels are a wonderful opportunity for parents, especially of students entering grades 11 and 12, to gather information about their child's pathway. The evening’s carousels will include:
  1. Local Post-Secondary Institutions: Representatives from Algonquin College, Carleton University, St. Paul University and the University of Ottawa. Gather information and speak to the post-secondary representatives to learn more about the post-secondary opportunities available for your child.

  2. Academic Carousels: St. Paul academic departments will have displays set up highlighting the many courses available at St. Paul. More information about our Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Transportation Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM) will also be available.

This is an excellent opportunity to speak to Academic Department Heads and Guidance Counsellors, which may help when making pathway/course/elective choices.

7:20-7:50 pm - Presentation for Students Entering Grades 9&10 (Amphitheatre)

  • This component of the evening will provide an overview of the transition to high school, the various pathways, graduation requirements and course selections. It will also include a presentation of the Grade 9 Math Program at St. Paul.
